- Must not be an Australian resident or an Australian national
#3 Degree requirements:
- For Bachelor’s program applicants: must have 12 years of previous education at the time of applying
- For Master’s program applicants: must have at least 16 years of former education at the time of applying
- For Ph.D. Program applicants: must have at least 17 years of previous education at the time of applying
- Applications of candidates applying for a scholarship in a course of study at an academic level lower than they have already achieved will be disregarded.
#4 Language Proficiency Exams:-
- Students willing to avail of the Australia Awards Scholarship must present an IELTS band score of 6.5 or higher or an equivalent TOEFL score. Else, must give the PCE exam.
#5 Other requirements:
- Not to be married or engaged to an Australian national or a permanent resident at any time between the application processes
- Applicants must not be current military servants
- Applicants who have been awarded the Australia Award Scholarship before are not eligible to reapply for the program
- Applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria of the university being applied to
- All the candidates must satisfy the Student Visa requirements
- Applicants having any direct relatives working as a staff member in the program areas being applied to must inform the management prior to admission
- All the candidates must be committed to returning to their home countries after degree completion for at least 2 years.
