IELTS Requirements for Residence from Work Category VISA

If you are residing in New Zealand for 2 years on a Talent visa also known as Work to Residence visa, then you can be eligible for a residence status and this residence status comes in the Residence from Work Category.

In order to qualify for this, you need to satisfy the following things:

• You have to reside in New Zealand for 2 years on a visa of work to Residence.
• You have to meet certain requirements of character and health.
• You need to have an IELTS score of a minimum band 5 in the IELTS Academic or general training module.

For this category, you need to have a minimum score of 3.0 in the IELTS Academic or General module. Moreover, the children or partners present in this type of application also need to show a minimum band score of 4 in the IELTS test.

• Parent Category

People included in the application of the parent category have to show the proficiency in English language through an IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 4 bands in 2 sections.

For this category, the applicants should have a band score of a minimum of 5 bands in any module of IELTS. Moreover, their children or partner must also have a score of a minimum of 5 bands in IELTS academic or IELTS general.
